Join us on a photographic one-day workshop to explore and capture the diverse beauty of the Peak District in bloom. The chosen locations promise not only stunning visuals, but also a unique perspective on the rich geological and ecological tapestry that defines this captivating location.

Date

There are two dates currently available offering a contrasting experience.

• Friday 16th August - Sunset experience - 1pm - 9pm approx

• Saturday 17th August 2024 - Sunrise experience - 5am - 12pm approx

Guests are free to book one or both courses. Suitable hotels, B&B’s and campsites can be recommended on request.

Course Structure

These one day courses will be led by Adam Karnacz and Verity Milligan and accommodate six guests per day.

Requirements

Suitable for photographers of all levels with basic equipment (camera, lenses, tripod).

A good level of physical health and fitness will be required to ascend the modest Peak District hills and traverse uneven, rocky and/or muddy ground.

Location Information

Nestled in the heart of England, the Peak District stands as an impressive and diverse National Park offering abundant photographic opportunities year-round. This one-day workshop is timed to coincide with the annual heather display that decorates the landscapes in late summer.

Encompassing 542 square miles, the Peak District ranks amongst the UK’s most visited National Parks, drawing in around 20 million visitors annually. A captivating characteristic of this region is the stark contrast between its two geological areas known as the Dark and White Peak. The northern Dark Peak boasts brooding heather-covered moorlands, embellished with dramatic rock outcrops. In contrast, the southern White Peak features softer limestone scenery, showcasing upland sheep pastures, dry-stone walls, and rustic barns.
