Glenelg is a small village in an isolated area of the West Coast of Scotland. Accessed by a mountain pass, the road is the lifeline for the village. I stayed Glenelg for a few nights in January 2016 during a trip to the area and managed to create this image. The old jetty looks out over the water of Kyle Rhea to the mountains of the Isle of Skye in the distance. The image reflects how life in the village can be difficult, where self-sufficiency and ingenuity are a prerequisite. At the same time it is incredibly beautiful, serene and the people are beyond content.
